FAQs

Is the mClinical Platform Electronic Health Record (EHR) software?

The mClinical Platform is not an EHR. It is a high unique mobile-clinical software solution that integrates with any existing EHR to improve productivity and the quality of clinical documentation for physicians. The mClinical Platform has a mobile app that physicians use during their clinical encounter. Upon completion, the app sends the exam information to the mClinical server for processing and then placement into the appropriate location in the EHR.

Which EHR systems is mClinical integrated with?

Currently, the mClinical Platform is integrated with Greenway Health, NextGen, and SolidPractice, with other major systems currently under development.

Which mobile devices are compatible with the mClinical Platform?

The mClinical App is compatible with Apple iPad and iPhone devices.

How does the mClinical Platform improve productivity?

The mClinical Platform uses medical specify-specific workflow templates, Easy-Text Touch Selection, and intelligent speech-to-text conversion. Furthermore, using predefined “Normal” as well as “Abnormal” for touch selections, physicians spend less time with data entry and more hands-on time with patients. With mClinical, no typing is required; Physicians simply perform inputs using touch selections and voice recordings.

Do I need a constant Wi-Fi or cellular connection to use the App during the clinical encounter?

A constant Wi-Fi or cellular connection is not required during the clinical encounter to capture the physician’s narrative. The data is stored locally on the device and when a connection becomes available, the data is sent back through the Platform to the EHR.

How I do access my patients’ information before or after clinical encounter?

Clinical notes are available on the mClinical App for physician review before and/or after the patients’ visit.

How does mClinical keep patients’ data secure on my mobile device?

In addition to the robust Apple iOS/device security, Physicians use their unique username and password to login to the mClinical app. All data on the app is stored encrypted. mClinical is a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based or on-premise service offering for health institutions.

How much training is required?

Training is minimal. Physician’s are very comfortable with the medical specialty-specific workflows and in short order master the intuitive touch selection and recording capability of the mClinical app.

Can I use the mClinical Platform with multiple EHRs?

Yes, the mClinical Platform is agnostic to the backend repository and can be integrated and used with one or multiple EHRs. For physicians who work at different locations, just designate which location in the app and mClinical sync schedules and patient history notes, and will upload new clinical’s to the appropriate EHR.

Seeing is believing.
